A little wisdom to help guide her
children’s steps while they’re by her side,
A little patience when they forget
Or haven’t learned by experience yet….
A little praise for a job well done
A little nonsense, a little fun,
A little tenderness from the heart,
When a special dream has fallen apart,
A little trust from day to day
As her children seek to find their way
A little faith in the lives they lead,
And all the love her children need.
After adding all these things together
Daily, then adorn it with Pillsbury
Chocolate Chip Cookies and milk
Preheat oven to 350, cut the roll of dough
Into 1/4 “ sections, and place on an
Ungreased cookie pan. Cook 10 minutes.
Allow cookies to cool for 5 minutes.
You are now ready to eat, drink and enjoy.
Your kids little or big will love this.

JoAnn Hoover is a native of Cumberland County. She is the daughter of Powell and Debbie Simmons. JoAnn grew up on the family dairy farm in the Vandever community, where she learned a lot about life, values, hard work and making an honest living. JoAnn says that as a child and a teenager she always thought that her dad was too strict. Now she says,” It did not hurt me, but only made me stronger. As a matter of fact I see now how he could have been a little more firm and then maybe I would have no regrets.” JoAnn is married to Gabe Hoover who is a local contractor and the apple of her eye. He moved her across the county to the Rinnie Community as quick as he could. There is never a dull moment at their house because of their 3 beautiful, active children: Sadie 10, Grady 8, and Brian 6. They enjoy the time that they get to spend together, especially at home, but don’t be surprised if they take a spur of the moment vacation to a fun place. Along with her real estate career, JoAnn is also the owner of Ellusions Salon in Crossville. Gabe, JoAnn and their 3 children are all members of Cornerstone Baptist Church.
She knows that she has been blessed with a lot, but the biggest blessing for her is to know that her and her family are all saved by the grace of God and have a home in heaven. |
